COMMISSIONS JULY 2008

SOLD Commissioned by JS. Truly stunning waistcoat - images do not do it justice. Based on a design created some time ago - this is a short waistcoat -

Unfortunately my camera loet me down with images - hopefully detail and georgeous colour is evident.

This waistcoat and the one above were based on designs created some time ago. This waistcoat was inspired by Piano keys. JS commissioned this one too!

August 2008 Art Commissions ...Now for something completely different - Mrs Slade commissioned me to create a work for her living room - its large - measures 24" x 42"

The brief was for reds , greens -poppies, leaves - sunny, with bees, curvy lines. I was unable to embroider this artwork but the effect worked well.

August 2008 - Several weeks on Mrs Slade commissioned a second painting - same colours- different theme to go on the opposite wall

Unfortunately the glow and sparkle created by silver and gold paint cannot be seen in this image. Customer assures me that the light refects and the art comes to life ........

Ref: 98 - Above and Below............November 2008 - Commission - Dr. C.S asked me to create a waistcoat for his wedding. He proposed to his wife whilst diving in the Red Sea - so the theme was to depict the underwater engagement - along with fish found in the red sea - purple anthais, batfish and lion fish - also seaweed. Bubbles in the form of hearts add a lovely romantic notion!

MAY 2008

SOLD Commissioned Wedding Waistcoat - my brief was to create a mans waistcoat with insect and game of chess theme - below is the result. Detail - dragonflies, bees, flies and a chessboard! - Just recieved a very complimentary email from Brians' wife to be - saying how thrilled they are with the design and imagination of this waistcoat. Unfortunately these images do not give it justice. Also added some subtle lines and gentle clematis leaves - the waistcoat flows.......

SOLD This stunning Poppies/Geometric Waistcoat

This lovely geometric with birds garment was sold by Brigid Foley November 2005. The lady who purchased it had bought one of my garments about five years ago - her first garment was a such a success that she "fell in love" with this garment and purchased it imediately! So pleased that it will be enjoyed!

I started hand-sewing traditional English patchwork when I was 12 years old. This long apprenticeship helped me develop the unique and distinctive style achieved in my garments and artworks.
